The Daily Currant, the “online satirical newspaper” that continues to fool so many, has struck again, this time publishing a fictional interview with Kanye West in which the rapper declared, “I am the next Nelson Mandela.” That didn’t stop Twitter from spreading the quote far and wide.
Kanye claiming he's the next Nelson Mandela now… Somebody please hit this clown in the mouth.

Kanye West said he's the next Nelson Mandela which is fine because now we can put him in jail for no reason.

West took to Twitter today to set the record straight.

Thank you, Mandela, for your life's work and may it serve as a guiding light to illuminate our future.

And may this incident serve to illuminate to all that The Daily Currant is all satire, all the time.
