Infographic: A slow start for clean Ganga mission – Times of India

The Centre has been focused on its ambitious Ganga rejuvenation plan but it has so far only launched entry-level activities, including modernisation/construction of ‘ghats’ (riverfronts), crematoria and surface cleaning. Though entry-level activities are important, the government will be able to achieve the final goal of a clean Ganga only after acting on its medium-term projects including sewage treatment plants in 118 towns/cities.
